Hi, I’m Abby,
and I’m an intuitive healer.
It took me a long time to be able to say that! I have spent most of my life "in my head" because that's what my family and society told me was valuable. I saw my body as mostly a vehicle for my brain. The world was meant to be catalogued, quantified, and understood through logic.
Pregnancy, parenting, and a long bout with chronic Lyme disease changed that. I grew more in touch with my emotions, and how they showed up in my body —particularly the ones I’d rather ignore. I realized that we can't separate mind from body, or from spirit, and that there are ways of knowing that don’t involve scientific instruments or facts from a book. If we want to heal, and to live our fullest lives, we have to recognize, integrate and trust all aspects of ourselves.
Coming to terms with different parts of my identity has been both meaningful and challenging as a biracial (Asian & Caucasian) person. I know what it's like to feel like I don't fit in the box—like there isn't a box for me at all sometimes—and it's my goal to help everyone feel more at home in their own unique bodies.
I am an Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master. My pronouns are she/her.
